The Coeur d'Alene Regional Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to announce our Fourth Annual Women’s Luncheon on Nov. 1 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., designed to empower, engage and elevate female leaders in our community. About Liz Murray
Liz Murray's life is a testament to the power of perseverance and the human spirit. Born to drug-addicted parents in the Bronx, Liz faced unimaginable hardships from a young age. By the age of 15, she was homeless, navigating the streets and struggling to survive. Despite these overwhelming challenges, Liz refused to let her circumstances define her future.
Her turning point came when she decided to take control of her life, returning to high school while still living on the streets. Liz's extraordinary dedication to her education led her to graduate at the top of her class in just two years, earning her a scholarship to Harvard University. Her story has been widely recognized and celebrated, with her memoir, "Breaking Night," becoming a bestseller and a source of inspiration for many.
