DUPONT, Wash. — North Idaho College finished tied for fifth-place with Simon Fraser with an 866 in the Bishop Invitational, comprised of NCAA Division II schools, which concluded on Friday at The Home Course.

Freshman Mason Barmingham shot a 2-over 218, finishing 25th for NIC in its fall opener.

“It wasn’t the finish that we wanted, but five of the six players that traveled are freshmen, so we’re continuing to learn every day,” NIC men’s golf coach Russell Grove said.

NIC resumes the fall season at the Western Washington Invitational at Bellingham Golf and Country Club starting on Sunday.
