ENDORSEMENT: Vote for Havercroft

Three current members of the NIC board of Trustees are directly responsible for the chaos in administration; they have caused the accreditation crisis and bitterness between the board, college administration, teachers, students and the public. These three, the political elite in Kootenai County who “vetted” their candidacies, and those who spread balderdash on social media or in printed periodicals of pink slime journalism, time is up! On Nov. 5, it is time to show McKenzie the door and to replace Banducci and Waggoner with competent non-partisan community servants.  

To accomplish this, please join me in supporting Mary Havercroft, who was raised in the inland Northwest, and who for 44 years has lived here in North Idaho. Having been a teacher and public-school administrator, Mary understands how important public education is to our community. She will listen to all the community rather than kowtow to political operatives, and she will not spread false conspiracies about NIC or misrepresent the good deeds of public servants who are trying to do what’s right for the college and our community.

Let’s make NIC happy again by tossing out the politics and hiring community first people like Mary Havercroft.
