Avista customers in Spirit Lake to experience a planned power outage

SPIRIT LAKE — An estimated 1,762 Avista electric customers in the Spirit Lake area will experience a power outage on Sunday, October 6, according to a media release from Avista.

The planned outage will start at 9:00 p.m. and end at 6:00 a.m. on October 7.

During this time, Avista crews will be performing equipment upgrades in the area. 

"Avista is continually updating equipment and infrastructure to increase the safety and reliability of its system," the media release said.

Impacted customers will be notified. No road closures are expected during the outage time.
