Freedom 5K registration open

The Freedom 5K is scheduled 9 a.m. Oct. 5 at Riverstone Park.

Proceeds benefit Safe Harbor, an anti-human trafficking organization.

"Participate to protect your community by contributing to the rescue and healing of human trafficking survivors, and raise awareness to prevent future abuse," according to a flyer.

Registration is $20 for those 11 and younger, and $35 for those older. A family of four is $70.
