Wayne Victor Wilk, 76

Wayne passed away peacefully at his home in Athol from complications due to dementia.

Wayne was born in Coeur d'Alene and raised in Post Falls. He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and his sister. 

Wayne served in the Navy during Vietnam on the USS Hector. He was a shipfitter and carried these skills throughout his career as a millwright and craftsman. He worked in the western states and Alaska. His co-workers will remember him as "Spindle Ass." 

Wayne is survived by his wife of 27 years, two stepsons and their wives, seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and three nephews.

Wayne will be remembered as a kind, loving, hardworking, creative man who could make something wonderful out of nothing.

He will be forever loved and missed.
