| September 16, 2024 1:08 AM

An Oktoberfest celebration in downtown Coeur d’Alene presented by Watkins Distributing offers entertainment, food and beverages and is scheduled Friday, Sept. 20, from 4 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 21, from noon to 8 p.m.

Downtown businesses will be serving beers, ciders and non-alcoholic beer options as they transform into mini beer gardens for the weekend.

Oktoberfest offers over 18 host sites, 30 beer options, two beer gardens, seven live bands and German food from local restaurants.

Rotary Centennial Park on Sherman Avenue will be transformed into the No-Li Biergarten, offering entertainment and live bands.

A second location at Second and Sherman will be transformed into the Prostgarten, filled with beer, food and music on the STCU Stage.

Oktoberfest offers local food options, including schnitzels, bratwurst, pretzels and currywurst.

The annual tapping of the keg at the Prostgarten is set for 6 p.m. Sept. 20, followed by the Sean and Brad Show and a stein-holding contest at 7 p.m. in the No-Li Biergarten.

Saturday will feature bands, a stein-holding contest in the No-Li Biergarten at 2 and 6 p.m. and a best traditional dress contest at 4 p.m.

Tickets start at $25.
