LOCAL WATCH: Ryan shines for Cougars in five-set win over UC Davis

Washington State d. UC Davis 25-16, 14-25, 23-25, 25-14, 25-13: At Seattle, Katy Ryan, a senior from Lakeland High, had 17 kills for the Cougars (4-3) in a win over the Aggies (4-3) at Alaska Airlines Arena.

Cal State Bakersfield d. Gonzaga 25-22, 29-27, 21-25, 25-21: At Boise, Hayley Ogden had 13 kills and four blocks for the Bulldogs (1-6) in a loss to the Roadrunners (5-4) in the Boise State Classic. 

Eastern Washington d. Northern Kentucky 25-18, 25-19, 20-25, 25-23: At Toledo, Ohio, Tanai Jenkins, a redshirt junior from Lake City High, had five blocks for the Eagles (3-5) in a win over the Norse (2-7) in the Rocket Invitational.

New Jersey Institute of Technology d. Idaho 25-23, 25-13, 25-20: At Loudonville, N.Y., Zuzanna Wieczorek had 15 kills for the Vandals (1-8) in a loss to the Highlanders (4-8) in the Sierra Saints Invitational.

Syracuse d. Idaho 25-15, 25-14, 25-20: At Loudonville, N.Y., Taylor Brickey had eight kills, Miya Carmichael 15 digs and two assists for the Vandals (1-9) in a loss to the Orange (9-0) in the Sierra Saints Invitational.
