DEBATE: Moderators didn’t fact-check Harris

| September 15, 2024 1:00 AM

Television debates are a waste of time. The moderators were completely biased. For example, they were vocal about fact checking President Trump but were silent when it came to Vice President Harris. Cases in point — Trump has nothing to do with Project 25, Harris did in fact call for mandatory gun buy-back program, Trump’s comment about “bloodbath” was taken out of context — [he was referring to the auto industry], and he condemned hate in Charlottesville to name a few. Moderators had no interest in fact checking her. I think moderators should ask the questions and keep the candidates on track timewise and let the audience decide for themselves without adding their corrections or opinions. ABC did a horrible job moderating this debate.

Don’t be distracted by the bickering back and forth. I’m not voting for a “person,” I’m voting for the party platform. Securing our borders, an economy that doesn’t bankrupt me, resourcing our own oil, requiring legal immigration to our Country, and for police to be respected again. And on abortion, I do agree with “my body my choice” … up until a child is conceived. Then it’s not just your body anymore. It’s another human being and it’s called murder.

I’m most concerned about my vote counting at the polls on election day. I’m concerned about having to wait 3 weeks to find out who won the election because certain states can’t seem to efficiently and truthfully tabulate the results in a timely manner. With today’s technology, we ought to do better. Let’s focus on the integrity of each vote and make sure each one is counted with integrity on election day.
