Fire department open house Saturday

The Coeur d'Alene Fire Department's annual open house is scheduled 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Fire Station 3, 1500 N. 15th St.

It will feature kids activities, fire trucks, firefighters, hot dogs and refreshments. The Idaho Disaster Dogs and fire dog Sparky will stop by.

Parents can learn how to use a fire extinguisher, Kootenai Health will be teaching hands-only CPR and Panhandle Health District will deliver Stop the Bleed training.

"We look forward, every year to opening up our house to show you just what we do for our community," a press release said.
