On Saturday morning, the Sting beat the Spokane Sounders Shadow Basel Valley 8-1. Sting Black goals were scored by Lincoln Treibwasser, Kellen McLemore, Jackson Martin and Peter Ward. Photo by KARI HYNES The Sting Soccer Club 11 girls Academy team returned to the field last weekend to start their DPL season, defeating the Central Washington Sounders G11 DPL Strom 4-2. Brightyn Gatten started the game off with a goal in the first 10 minutes. This goal was quickly followed up with a goal from Aubrey Sargent on an assist from Olivia Hynes. The Sting finished the game with two additional goals in the second half — Presley Moreau had a breakaway goal and MacKenzie Dolan scored on an assist from Aubrey Sargent.
