MARANO: For State Representative

| September 11, 2024 1:00 AM

This election, I’m voting my values and issues. I will vote for candidates who realize that all Idahoans deserve a say in government. I will vote against those who divide us. I support candidates that want a strong, healthy community.

Not all candidates divide. I had the good fortune to meet a candidate who was focused on bringing people with differing views to the table to solve our problems. I walked with Paula Marano, candidate for State Representative (District 4B), as she introduced herself to members of the community. Paula asked every single person what issues they faced. She did something I’d never seen a candidate do, she listened and took notes. People spoke about affordable housing, wanting moderate politics in order to get things done, fully funding our schools, women’s issues and more. She showed respect to every single person. Paula clearly wants to REPRESENT District 4B voters.

Communities are built through schools, colleges and libraries, yet we’re attacking them. If we want strong, smart citizens, we need to support schools and libraries. District 4B Representative Price voted against school funding (S1202) and for punishing libraries and librarians (H0710). Paula will support school funding and libraries because voters want her to support them.

Women have lost bodily autonomy in Idaho. The Idaho State House decided to make health care decisions for women. None are obstetricians. They refused to collect maternal mortality data because results would make them look bad. Representative Price voted for extreme abortions (H0242) and against maternal mortality data (H399). Paula supports improving women’s health care.

Candidate for State Representative D4B, Paula Marano won my vote. She knows REPRESENTATION means talking WITH voters.
