Birds of Prey program set for Sept. 29 at CDA Eagles

Birds of Prey Northwest is scheduled to give two free presentations Sept. 29 at the Coeur d'Alene Eagles. Both are filled, but seats may open up.

Based in St. Maries, the nonprofit organization is owned and operated by Jane and Don Veltkamp. 

For more than 30 years it has promoted stewardship and conservation of raptors through educational programs with live birds of prey onsite at its center and throughout the area.

The programs may include eagles, hawks, owls and falcons.

"Learn the habits, natural history and conservation efforts for these magnificent aerial predators," according to a flier.
