9/11 memorial events slated Wednesday

Two 9/11 memorial events are scheduled Wednesday in Coeur d'Alene.

The Kootenai County Sheriff's Office is hosting a ceremony at 11 a.m. at Black Sheep Sporting Goods at the Silver Lake Mall.

The Coeur d'Alene Fire Department's Honor Guard will be doing a short flag-lowering ceremony at Heroes Plaza Memorial at Cherry Hill Park at 10 a.m.

"Please join us in ensuring that we, as Americans, Never Forget the tragic events of September 11, 2001," a release said.
