Equipment damaged in commercial building fire in western Post Falls
Kootenai County Fire and Rescue, along with several other agencies, responded to a commercial building fire in western Post Falls Wednesday night.

POST FALLS — Kootenai County Fire and Rescue responded to a commercial building fire in western Post Falls around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday night.
The fire is believed to have started in a conveyor system within the Purcell Pellets manufacturing building on Prairie Avenue and did not spread to any nearby buildings, according to KCFR Fire Chief Chris Way.
There were no injuries, but some equipment, including a forklift, was reportedly damaged in the fire.
Fire crews were on scene for about three and a half hours. Coeur d’Alene Fire, Hauser Fire and Spokane Valley Fire also responded to aid KCFR in putting out the blaze.
