POST FALLS — City Councilor Kenny Shove announced his resignation Thursday, to go into effect Friday, Nov. 1.

In a release from the city of Post Falls, the reason for Shove's departure was listed as a move beyond city limits.

Shove stated in the release that “it has been an honor to serve and represent the people of Post Falls and I wish the best for the city.”

Shove has served on the Post Falls City Council since January 2022.

Mayor Ron Jacobson thanked Shove for his dedication and contributions to the community.

“We wish Kenny, and his family, all the best in this next phase of their lives,” Jacobson said.

The City Council will discuss the vacancy at its meeting Tuesday, Nov. 5.
