Linda Lee Schofield, 75

| October 30, 2024 1:00 AM

Linda Schofield, 75, of Post Falls, Idaho, passed away Oct. 13, 2024, while living at an assisted living facility. Born in Spokane, Wash., on May 2, 1949, Linda was the cherished daughter of Albert and Peg Wolters and the loving sister to her four siblings: Karen, Jim, Don and Ken. She shared a special bond with her sister-in-law, Helen, who was like family to her.

Linda grew up in Coeur d'Alene and resided in Post Falls, where she cultivated a deep love for gardening and pool. Linda found immense joy in nurturing her prized flowers, which earned her numerous awards and accolades over the years. Her passions for gardening and pool were matched only by her dedication to giving back, as she spent countless hours volunteering at the Post Falls Food Bank, where her warmth and compassion made a lasting impact.

Linda enjoyed a fulfilling career in the local restaurant scene, spending over 20 years at Mr. Steakhouse and several years at Red Robin. Linda actively participated in the 3Cs and delighted in playing board and card games with family and friends. She was often found outside listening to her favorite music as she tended to her beloved and stunning flowers.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Peg Wolters, and her siblings, Karen, Jim, Don and Ken. She is survived by her two sons, Danny (Essie) and Chris; her fiancé, Ron; her grandchildren, Alex, Kayla and Ana; and great-grandchildren.

A memorial gathering will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, 2024, at Yates Funeral Home — Hayden Chapel, 373 E. Hayden Ave., Hayden, Idaho, with a celebration of life in May.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in honor of Linda's name to the Post Falls Food Bank, a cause that was very close to her heart.

Rest in peace, Linda. Your legacy will continue blossoming in the lives of those you touched.
