Brian Howell, manager of the Rathdrum Super One Foods is holding a banner with Turkeys and More president Nancy Nelson. All Super One stores will accept donations at the check stands to help the nonprofit group raise enough money to distribute turkeys the week before Thanksgiving. Checks may also be sent to Turkeys & More at P.O. Box 267, CDA, ID 83816, or go to turkeysandmore.org to donate safely online. For more information, call 208-765-5535.
The National Association of Benefits and Insurance Professionals — Pacific Northwest Chapter (NABIP-PNW) recently presented a check in the amount of $2,000 to Family Promise of North Idaho. Family Promise of North Idaho serves approximately 18 families annually, with half of their guests being children under the age of 6. They provide temporary shelter, food, and support to families seeking permanent employment and affordable housing. The organization relies on community involvement to continue their work. For more information on how to volunteer or donate, visit their website at FamilyPromiseNI.org. Pictured are NABIP-PNW Chapter Members presenting a check to Family Promise.

A wonderful crew from the Hayden Walmart store No. 3511 is happy about donating $1,000 to Turkeys & More to buy Thanksgiving turkeys. President Nancy Nelson on the right side of picture said it is exciting that only $20,000 more needs to be raised toward the goal of buying 2,000 birds. She anticipates over 10,000 people from vulnerable families will enjoy a more joyous meal in their homes for this special holiday. She thanks the Walmart store for donating again this year and encourages others who want to support this annual community event to send a check to Turkeys & More, P.O. Box 267, Coeur d'Alene, ID 83816. Donations can be safely made online at turkeysandmore.org. Those interested in pre-registering to pick up their turkeys at the November distribution should go to the Community Action Partnership (CAP) Food Bank in the Industrial Park off Atlas Road. The rest of the turkeys will be taken by the Coeur Group to other food banks and social service agencies who will pass them out in Kootenai County.
