CrimeStoppers offers $5K for Florida fugitive
COEUR d’ALENE — The Hernando County Crime Stoppers in Florida is offering up a $5,000 reward for information directly leading to the arrest of a man wanted on a warrant for skipping court in Florida and recently seen in North Idaho, according to the U.S. Marshals Service.
In 2022, Christian B. Fischer, 42, was arrested by the Hernando County Sheriff’s Department in Florida for traveling to meet a minor. Fischer used a computer “to lure a child for sexual purposes,” according to the U.S. Marshals Service.
After Fischer reportedly failed to appear in court for the second day of his trial in February, a warrant for his arrest was issued. He has been wanted by authorities ever since, police said.
Fischer was convicted in absentia of traveling to meet a child and is yet to be sentenced in Florida.
Authorities attempted to arrest Fischer in Athol on Tuesday night, but he evaded them on Kelso Lake Road. As of Wednesday morning, his whereabouts are unknown.
Fischer is a white man who is 5 feet 10 inches tall, with blond hair and hazel eyes. Authorities said Fischer “is also known to dress like a woman.”
