TaTa's Party raises $25K for Silver Valley cancer patients
WALLACE — This year’s TaTa’s Party raised $25,000 for Silver Valley cancer patients and their families through the Shoshone County Cancer Resource Center.
Ornately decorated bras and other artistically repurposed items were donated and auctioned off to go toward fuel cards for medical treatments and other resources.
The first event took place 13 years ago as a wine night on a smaller scale. Since then, it’s grown into a communitywide event. This year, it was held at the Wallace Elks.
Contributors crafting inventive bra designs were encouraged to represent hunting or other recreational aspects of life in the Silver Valley or celebrate local businesses.
There was a mystery wine wall and beer pull and auctioneer Darren Arave kept the energy high for bidding on about 75 items in live and silent auctions.
