PROP 1: Election mailer came at taxpayer’s expense

Just got my mailed flier telling me how to vote on Proposition 1 from State Senator Doug Okuniewicz. The letter was on State Senate Paper, mailed in a State Senate envelope, and I presume postage paid by the State Senate. Probably a significant expense to the taxpayers of Idaho, with a partisan position and telling me how to vote. This seems like poor use of tax money. I can make up my own mind on the issues, and I favor Proposition 1, not to make Idaho more liberal, but to maybe moderate the conservative vote. I think a majority needs to support the winning candidates, not just Party bosses like we are getting now. And I don’t think that the “vetted” candidates have been very good of late.
