Parks officials honored in Hayden

HAYDEN — Hayden Mayor Alan Davis issued a proclamation at the City Council meeting Tuesday that Nov. 1 has been declared Extra Mile Day to celebrate staff and citizens who go the extra mile in personal effort, volunteerism and service. 

During the meeting and reading of the mayor’s declaration, Lisa Troxel and Malea Sampsel were honored for their efforts in the Parks, Recreation and Community Forestry Commission. 

Sampsel and Troxel helped create Pawfoot Dog Park, Broadmore Park junior disc golf and Hayden Bike Rodeo.
