Spencer, a sophomore goalkeeper, had three saves for the Timberwolves in a 3-0 win over the Coeur d’Alene Vikings in the deciding game of the 6A District 1 best-of-3 series last Thursday, helping Lake City win its 12th straight regional/district championship. “Savvy was unstoppable in goal this week,” Lake City coach Matt Ruchti said. “She performed at a high level, eliminating any resemblance of a goal scoring opportunity. In a short period, Savvy has established herself as one of the top goalkeepers in the state.”
