Northwest Institute for Digestive Surgery rebrands

POST FALLS — Northwest Specialty Hospital said Monday that its institute for digestive surgery has a new name: Northwest Digestive Center. The rebranding is part of a major expansion of the hospital’s gastrointestinal service line.

In addition to the surgical treatment already provided by Northwest Digestive Center’s surgeons, the center is now offering advanced endoscopic procedures and gastrointestinal medical care for the treatment of non-surgical conditions.

“We can now manage anyone with any kind of gastrointestinal medical disorder in a comprehensive way,” said Northwest Digestive Center founder and director, Dr. John Pennings.

Dr. Michael W. James, a board-certified gastroenterologist, also recently joined Northwest Digestive Center’s provider team.

Northwest Digestive Center is in the Northwest Specialty Hospital medical complex at 750 N. Syringa St., Suite 205, Post Falls.
