KOHBERGER TRIAL: No more delays

As I picked up Thursday’s Press (Oct. 10), I immediately noticed the pink headline: “Judge delays murder trial of Kohberger, suspect in U of I students’ 2022 deaths.” What an injustice to the four families and friends who have suffered nearly two years of extreme anguish.

At the last hearing in Moscow, some four weeks ago, my companion and I sat behind Mr. and Mrs. Goncalves and could feel the frustration. The hearing involved a change of venue for the trial.

No reasons were stated for the trial delay. Why should distraught families bear further delay in their quest for justice? Haven’t these families suffered enough? In my opinion our justice system is much too slow. If guilty, I hope Kohberger burns in hell.
