The Coeur d'Alene Regional Chamber, in partnership with the Idaho Chamber Alliance, on Friday announced that the 2024 Idaho State Legislative Tour is scheduled for Nov. 11-13 in Coeur d'Alene.
The event will bring together Idaho’s 35 state senators and 70 state representatives for three days focused on the business and industry landscape of North Idaho.
“This tour is not only a platform to showcase the strength and potential of North Idaho’s industries but also a crucial opportunity to build relationships with state decision-makers and highlight the legislative support needed to help our communities thrive,” said Linda Coppess, president and CEO of the Coeur d'Alene Regional Chamber, in a press release.
The tour will highlight topics essential to the future of North Idaho and the state, including education and workforce development, healthcare, housing, childcare, economic development, public safety, forestry and natural resources, taxes and Infrastructure.
“This event is an extraordinary opportunity for Idaho’s legislators to connect with local business leaders, understand the region’s unique needs, and see firsthand how legislative action impacts North Idaho’s economy and communities,” said Caroline Merritt, executive director of the Idaho Chamber Alliance. “Our goal is to foster meaningful discussions that will shape policies critical to the continued growth and prosperity of our state.”
The tour includes several ways for community members to participate, including purchasing tickets to attend the full tour, attending the welcome reception and dinner, and attending the Governor’s Banquet.
