Press seeks volunteers for digitization project

Are you passionate about local history? Do you have an hour or two to spare? We need your help to bring our community's past into the digital age.

The Coeur d'Alene Press and Shoshone News-Press are embarking on a project to digitize our historical newspaper editions. This initiative will make decades of local news and stories accessible to researchers, history enthusiasts and future generations.

We're looking for volunteers to assist with scanning these historical documents. As a volunteer, you'll be helping to scan old newspaper editions, ensuring each page is properly digitized for future access and preservation.

Don't worry if you're not tech-savvy — no special skills are required to participate. We'll provide all necessary training and equipment.
