Sting goals were scored by Atlas Lepley, Elijah Cline and Xavier Sousley. On Oct. 12 the Sting Yellow played an interclub match against the Sting U9 Black team at Hayden Meadows Elementary, with the Black team winning 4-2. Goals were scored for the Black team by Emmett Cowan and Hudson Helbling. Goals were scored for the Yellow team by Atlas Lepley. On Oct. 13 the Sting Yellow team beat the Sandpoint FC 2016B Black team 2-0 at Centennial Field in Sandpoint. Goals were scored by Xavier Sousley and Gideon Lee.     Photo by KARI HYNES The Sting Soccer Club 11G Academy team won their 3 games this past weekend. Saturday morning the Sting defeated Legacy SA - G2010 Peterson 6-0. Presley Moreau started the game off for Sting scoring on an assist from Brightyn Gatten. This was quickly followed up with goals from Lila Moreau and Anya Low. Kylie Lorona started the second half with a goal again on an assist from Brightyn Gatten. Olivia Hynes and Brightyn Gatten scored Sting's final two goals. Later Saturday afternoon, Sting 11G Academy faced WE Surf SC Columbia Basin G11 DPL. Forwards Payton Brennan, Presley Moreau, Brightyn Gatten and Kylie Lorona all scored goals for Sting in a 4-0 victory. Brightyn Gatten also had an assist. The girls finished the weekend with an 11-0 win against WE Surf SC 11G DPL. Striker Presley Moreau scored 2 goals, on assists from Olivia Hynes and Brightyn Gatten. Mackenzie Dolan scored 4 goals for Sting and Brightyn Gatten added three. Kylie Lorona scored her 3rd goal of the weekend and Sting's final goal game from defender Emily Hackett on an assist from Ava Langer. Sting G2011 DPL will continue their season this weekend with games in Spokane against WE Surf SC G10 Royal Trapped and Spokane Sounders Shadow G2011 DPL.
