ENDORSEMENT: Vote for Hearn

| October 16, 2024 1:00 AM

If you want an honest, hardworking and respected individual to represent you in the Idaho State Legislature then your vote needs to go to Tom Hearn for Senator in District 2. He has experience in serving on two school boards and statewide boards. He has a history of working in a bi-partisan manner. He was appointed to several state boards by Democrat Governor Cecil Andrus and Republican Governors Dirk Kempthorne and Butch Otter. He has expertise in mental health as well. His goals are to be an advocate for rural communities, a voice for public education including higher education, medical and mental health services, protection of public lands, roads and rural economic development.

This is a quote from Tom: “Local school boards should not have to run levies every two years to make up for the lack of adequate state funding for schools. That is not the situation in almost all other states. If elected I will fight for much better funding of public schools.”

His opponent has demonstrated a lack of legal and ethical honesty. There is a real question if Phil Hart currently lives in District 2 at all. He has admitted to stealing lumber from the State of Idaho for his own purposes. He has been delinquent in paying taxes. In the past legislative sessions he has voted against programs and bills that would have benefited Idahoans over and over again. He is not a Senator that should be returned to the state legislature. Tom Hearn is a man with your best interests in mind. We know him personally and we have the utmost respect for him.
