New branch director at Post Falls Boys and Girls Club
The Boys and Girls Clubs of Kootenai County announced Thursday that Emma Johnson has been promoted to the position of branch director at the Jordan Johnson Boys and Girls Club in Post Falls.
"Emma has served as our program director for the past several years, during which time she has demonstrated exceptional dedication, leadership and a deep commitment to our club's mission," the nonprofit said in a news release.
Johnson started at the club in 2017 as a part-time youth development professional while attending college. She left for a few summers to work a temporary job in her hometown of Craigmont.
“I always looked forward to returning to the club each fall,” Johnson said in the news release.
Johnson was promoted to program coordinator in 2020 after her first summer with the club and then worked as program director for two years.
“I am so excited for this opportunity because the club is such a special place," she said. "I truly believe in our mission, and it is so rewarding to be a part of an organization that provides children with such positive opportunities and experiences. Getting to know our members while watching them learn and grow is one of the best perks of working at the club.”
Executive Director Mark Kuhnhausen said the Boys and Girls Club is thrilled to see Johnson take on this new role.
"We look forward to her continued success and the positive impact she will bring to our clubhouse and community," he said.
Johnson said she is looking forward to offering new opportunities,
"We have such an amazing team and supportive community here in North Idaho," she said. "That support means we have the ability to continue to bring great experiences to our club members.”
