CASA's 'Uncorked' fundraiser set for Oct. 24

| October 12, 2024 1:00 AM

North Idaho CASA is hosting its fall fundraiser, "Uncorked," on Thursday, Oct. 24, at the Hagadone Event Center.

This event benefits the First Judicial District Court Appointed Special Advocates program, which is the only nonprofit advocating for child victims in court.

CASA trains advocates for over 240 child abuse and neglect victims throughout North Idaho. These advocates investigate child protection cases, represent the child's best interest in court and help find a safe home with a forever family, a press release said.

Keynote speakers Dolly Webb and Jan Rust will share their story of advocacy and friendship. Webb, an 18-year-old success story, was first assigned to Rust as her advocate at the age of 3.

"Webb has since aged out of the system, healed from her traumatic childhood and is now choosing to live a life of success and sobriety to follow her dreams. Jan has been steadfast in her loving support through it all," the release said.

The event includes dinner and auctions.

Tickets are $125.
