NIC GOLF: Cardinal men win team title at Briarwood Shootout

BILLINGS, Mont. — Noah Moody, a freshman from Vineyard, Utah, was the top local finisher for North Idaho College, finishing runner-up in the Briarwood Shootout, which concluded on Tuesday at Briarwood Golf Club. 

Moody shot a 6-under 138 for NIC, which claimed the team title at the tournament, which consisted of NAIA programs, as well as the Community Colleges of Spokane. 

NIC concludes the fall season at the NJCAA National Preview Oct. 23-25 at Sand Creek Station Golf Course in Newton, Kan., the home of the NJCAA Championships May 13-16, 2025.

Seth Swallows, a freshman from St. Maries High, finished 22nd for the Community Colleges of Spokane. 

Graedon Woodward of Montana State-Billings was medalist with a 69-68—137.

at Proal Invitational


PUEBLO, Colo. — Alyssa Butterfus, a freshman from Washington Utah, shot a 156 to finish 16th for the Cardinals in the Sam Proal Invitational at Pueblo Country Club. 

NIC finished ninth out of 11 teams in the tournament. 

Tournament host Colorado State-Pueblo, a Division II program, won the tournament with a 598. 

NIC will compete in the Yellowjacket Invitational starting Sunday at Lake Hills Golf Club in Billings, Mont.
