Post Falls announces roadwork plans
POST FALLS — The city announced an update for the Spokane Street road project Monday.
Northbound lanes of traffic will reopen today, with reconstruction of the southbound lanes and pedestrian facilities beginning the same day. There will be a detour in place to reroute traffic.
Asphalt patching on Spokane Street from Interstate 90 to Seltice Way starts Wednesday with traffic being affected for about a week. Drivers should expect temporary lane closures and a brief closure of the I-90 eastbound off-ramp.
Access to businesses on Spokane Street remains open through the detour routes during construction.
The city also recently announced rolling road closures scheduled this week.
Roadways from East 12th Avenue from Sugar Maple Trail to North Cecil Road and East 12th Avenue from North Cecil Road to North Charleville Road will remain closed Monday to Friday.
Cecil Road will remain open Monday to Wednesday, and the intersection of Cecil Road and 12th Avenue will be closed Thursday and Friday for preparation related to the 12th Avenue force main project.
There will be a lane closure from Monday through Friday along the right northbound lane and sidewalk on North Spokane Street between East 16th and East 17th Avenue for approach and gutter work relative to the Post Falls Baptist Church project.
East Legion Road off North Syringa Street will be closed Monday through Friday for sewer and water tie-in work.
