KELLOGG VOLLEYBALL 

Oct. 1  

Timberlake d. Kellogg 

SPIRIT LAKE — Amarijana Olivieri had eight kills and 19 digs as the host Tigers won the final two sets to beat the Wildcats 20-25, 25-20, 21-25, 26-24, 15-10 in nonleague play. 

Diana Nelson had 11 blocks for Timberlake (9-6). Sophia Soumas had 33 assists, Maci Sandbank nine kills and four blocks, Mya Reynoldson eight kills, five blocks and two aces, Isabelle Torr 23 digs, Addie Archer 21 digs. 

“It was nice to win that fifth set tonight,” Timberlake coach Lisa Gardom said. “We have battled a few teams this season going to five sets and tonight we did the work to the end and came out on top. Kellogg is a scrappy team and they make you earn your points. I’m proud of the team for not giving up and finishing strong.” 

Dani Henrikson had nine kills, Callie Clark three blocks, Jordyn Stutzke 26 digs and Ella Yrjana 17 assists and three aces for Kellogg (14-7) 

WALLACE VOLLEYBALL 

Oct. 2 

Kellogg d. Wallace 

WALLACE — Paige Yrjana had seven aces, Jordyn Stutzke 18 digs for the Wildcats in a 25-19, 25-7, 25-13 win over the Miners in their Dig Pink breast cancer awareness fundraiser at Kirby Krulitz Court. 

Dani Henrikson and Aleah Philp had five kills each and Aubree Groth three blocks for Kellogg 

Oct. 3 

Wallace d. Coeur du Christ 

COEUR d’ALENE — Sophomore Kayden Stutzke totaled 20 assists and 12 digs as the visiting Miners swept the Saints 25-11, 25-23, 25-19 in nonleague play at Holy Family Catholic School. 

Kylee Phillips added nine kills and 10 digs for Wallace. Bethany Phillips had 10 kills, Kayla Hasz two blocks. 

MULLAN VOLLEYBALL 

Oct. 3 

Clark Fork d. Mullan 

MULLAN — The visiting Wampus Cats (3-10) swept the Tigers 25-12, 25-17, 25-12 in nonleague play at the Mullan Pavilion. 

KELLOGG FOOTBALL 

Oct. 4 

Bonners Ferry 42, Kellogg 22 

KELLOGG — The visiting Badgers scored 21 points in the fourth quarter to rally past the Wildcats in a nonleague game at Teeters Field. 

The Wildcats led by a point headed into the fourth quarter, but their defense couldn't finish plays and get off the field.  

Offensively, Kellogg played well for three quarters but stalled out in the final frame.  

Bonners Ferry (3-3), which ran for five of its six touchdowns, rushed for over 400 yards in the game.  

“It was a great game; the kids played hard — Kellogg is always a tough opponent,” Bonners Ferry High head coach Danny Swift said. “Our offensive line paved the way and kept grinding, their gas tanks in the second half were key to our victory. Our defense really rallied around the five sacks from the front seven.

Kellogg (2-4) faces New Plymouth next Saturday at Prairie High in Cottonwood.

Wallace 52, Genesee 28 

GENESEE — The Miners improved to 5-1 with a nonleague win over the Bulldogs at Genesee High. 

Freshman Cooper Miller ran for five scores in the game.  

Wallace hosts Clark Fork next Friday at Sather Field in Silverton.

KELLOGG CROSS COUNTRY  

Oct. 3 

PINEHURST — The Wildcats won the team title at the Ben Castro Invitational at Pinehurst Golf Course.  

Brayden Lamana of Priest River won the men's race with a scorching time of 16:08, while Kellogg's top finisher, Ryken White, finished third with a time of 17:56.  

Kellogg's team win was powered by having six runners finish inside the top 15 of the race.  

It was Kellogg's first team win at their home invite since 2013

Bonners Ferry won the women's team championship, while Post Falls freshman Angelique Averette won the individual championship.  

Oct. 5  

SPOKANE — Kellogg senior Ryken White finished 17th in a competitive field at the 7th Annual Battle for the 509.  

White was one five Wildcat runners to finish with a sub-20 minute time, putting them squarely at the top of the smaller schools who competed.  

The Wildcats finished 18th out of 35 teams at the race.
