PREP SOCCER: Lake City rolls into boys soccer districts with shutout

SPANGLE, Wash. — Senior Jacob Molina had two goals and two assists as the Lake City Timberwolves blanked Upper Columbia Academy 7-0 in the T-Wolves' regular-season finale on Monday.
Senior Nundu Makandama added two goals and an assist for Lake City (9-1-2).
“What a fantastic way to close out the regular season,” first-year Lake City coach Chaz Donovan said. “The entire team played cohesively, showcasing our unity and collective effort. Every player contributed to our success today, and it was truly a team victory. This is a special group of young men.”
Lake City is the No. 2 seed, and will play at No. 1 seed Coeur d’Alene on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in Game 1 of a best-of-3 series for the 6A District 1 title. Game 2 is Oct. 15 at 3:30 p.m. at Lake City, and Game 3, if necessary, is Oct. 17 at Coeur d’Alene High.
