NOTICE OF SOLE SOURCE EXPENDITURE NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, has determined, pursuant to Idaho Code § 67-2808(2)(a)(viii), that competitive solicitation is impractical, disadvantageous, or unreasonable under the circumstances for the following expenditure: upfitting of equipment for seven (7) Police patrol vehicles. By utilizing one vendor for all of the various emergency equipment needed in each vehicle, we can standardize the install and this vendor is able to supply all of the equipment for a cost lower than the police department could purchase it separately and install it more quickly than if we were to perform the services ourselves. The purchase is critical in order to replace worn, high mileage vehicles necessary for law enforcement. The contract with Dana Safety Supply shall be awarded no fewer than fourteen (14) days following the date of publication of this Notice. Dated this 8th day of October, 2024.
