ENDORSEMENT: Vote for Marano

| October 6, 2024 1:00 AM

Having lived in Coeur d’Alene for over 50 years, I feel privileged to have known of the Marano’s for almost that long. Judge Marano was fair-minded and ruled with consideration of the best outcome for both the plaintiff and the defendant. His wife, Paula, is equally committed to the best outcomes. A beloved elementary school teacher, her research revealed to her the enormous benefits of the arts in education, and she was a primary influence in bringing music appreciation to our elementary schools in the 1980s.

She has also volunteered in financial literacy, the soup kitchen, social justice, The Human Rights Task Force, and The Interfaith Peace and Justice Committee, and she still found time to coach youth softball. A fundamental supporter of education who has worked tirelessly to support teachers, staff development, parent groups and students, Paula is a stark contrast to her opponent, Elaine Price, who voted “No” on funding Department of Education S1202 and who also voted “Yes” to firearms in schools HBO415. As a former teacher who loves this community and believes in our school system, I strongly urge you to see the greatness in Paula Marano and vote for her as State Representative District 4 Seat B.
