ENDORSEMENT: Vote for Marano

When was the last time a political candidate asked you what you wanted? I recently met Paula Marano, candidate for the Idaho House of Representatives district 4B. She not only listened but also presented an actionable plan giving the people of Idaho what they want and simply enough, what they deserve. Here are a few takeaways from our conversation.

In addition to adequate housing and health care for our veterans, Paula is fighting to get them proper mental health care as well. Did you know that there is not adequate funding for veterans suffering from PTSD? I didn’t. Also, did you know that Representative Elaine Price voted NO to the adequate funding of veteran programs? She voted NO. Paula is working to get veterans the benefits they deserve. Benefits for all they have sacrificed for our country.

Our local law enforcement agencies and fire department services need to be fully funded in order to protect our communities. And whose responsibility is that? The state of Idaho’s that’s who. The state currently distributes the money to local police and fire departments and it simply is not enough. We are forced to make up the difference at the local level. Again, it’s disappointing to find out that Representative Elaine Price voted NO to increasing monies that could fully fund those services. Paula says YES!

After looking at her record, Representative Elaine Price says NO a lot. Take a look for yourself. It’s time to elect someone who says YES to the people of our state. That’s why I’m voting for Paula Marano, candidate for the Idaho House of Representatives district 4B.
