Man dies in crash near Worley
A 31-year-old man died in a crash near Worley today.
According to the Idaho State Police, two vehicles collided about 12:30 p.m. on State Highway 58 near milepost 1.5 in Kootenai County.
The preliminary investigation indicated a westbound 2000 Honda CR-V drove left of center and collided head on with an eastbound 2011 Chrysler Town & Country.
The Honda was driven by an Aberdeen, Wash., man, who was not wearing his seat belt and died at the scene, a press release said.
The Chrysler was driven by a 20-year-old female from Spokane Valley. Passengers included a 22-year-old female and an 18-year-old female, also both from Spokane Valley, and a 17-year-old male from Moscow. All were wearing seat belts and were transported to a hospital by ground ambulance, the release said.
Traffic on State Highway 58 was blocked in both directions for nearly four hours.
An investigation continues.
