The Coeur d'Alene Regional Chamber recently hosted its annual Past Chair Gathering, bringing together 14 past chairs of the chamber to share their insights, experiences and advice with the incoming 2025 chair, Tyrel Stevenson, legislative director for the Coeur d'Alene Tribe.

“What a tremendous blessing to learn from such a talented and dedicated group of leaders,” said Doug Elliott, 2024 chair. “This event exemplifies the strength and wisdom of our chamber’s leadership, past and present, as we look forward to a bright future.”

The tradition offers an opportunity for the chamber’s past and future leaders to connect, fostering collaboration and continuity across decades of leadership, a press release said.

The gathering featured voices representing leadership spanning almost 40 years, beginning with Charlie Nipp, 1986 chair. The past chairs shared their perspectives on challenges, triumphs and the importance of community-focused leadership.

“It was an honor to sit down with such an accomplished and diverse group of leaders," Stevenson said. "Their experiences and insights are invaluable as I prepare to step into this role. I’m inspired by the legacy of leadership that has helped shape the Chamber and look forward to continuing the work of strengthening our community.”

Linda Coppess, Chamber CEO and president, said the event is a testament to the commitment of its leadership.

"It’s a rare and special opportunity to bring together decades of experience, ensuring that our mission remains strong and that we continue to thrive as a chamber and as a community," she said.
