| November 26, 2024 1:00 AM

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Christopher Warren Williams, affectionately known to all as "Junior," who left us Nov. 17, 2024, in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Born on July 13, 1974, in Grass Valley, Calif., Junior lived a life that was vibrant, full of love, laughter and a genuine spirit that touched the lives of many.

Junior was the cherished son of Sanford Steven Williams and Kimberley Irene Williams. He is survived by his loving wife, Angel V. Williams, with whom he shared a beautiful life. Junior and Angel met in 1995 and moved to Idaho in June 1998, where they made a loving home together. They were married Oct. 2, 1999, in Spirit Lake, Idaho, recently celebrating 25 wonderful years of marriage. Their bond was a testament to love's enduring strength.

Junior's legacy continues through his children, Troy D. Goodman and BreAnna V. Williams, who carry forward his spirit and zest for life. He is also survived by his biological siblings, Heidi Hansen and Sean Williams, along with his logical sibling, Robert Smith. Each of these relationships was dear to Junior, and his family was the center of his universe.

For over 20 years, Junior was a dedicated employee of the Idaho Transportation Department. He began his journey in the maintenance department, plowing snow and working on road construction. His exceptional work ethic and passion for his role propelled him through various departments and positions, culminating in his current title as the facilities business operations manager. Junior's impact on his colleagues and the community was profound, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege to work alongside him.

Outside of work, Junior was known for his vibrant spirit and his love for sports. A passionate coach, he dedicated his time to mentoring young athletes in both softball and wrestling. His enthusiasm for playing sports, particularly cornhole and softball, was infectious. A true outdoorsman, Junior cherished the moments spent in nature, whether he was hunting, fishing, hiking or biking in the woods, on the lake or up in the mountains. Nevertheless, his favorite place to be was surrounded by his family and friends, sharing laughter and creating memories.

Junior was a larger-than-life character. He had a unique ability to make friends wherever he went, his warm heart and witty sense of humor drawing people in. He was known for his generous spirit and willingness to help anyone in need, embodying the true essence of friendship. His kindness, love and fun-loving nature will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

His sudden passing due to a heart attack has left a void in the lives of many. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the brave strangers who selflessly stopped on Highway 95 and Appleway to assist Junior and his family in their time of need as they rushed to the hospital. Your compassion and quick actions will always be remembered, as will the love and support from Candlelight Christian Fellowship.

A funeral service to celebrate Junior's life will be held Dec. 5, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Candlelight Christian Fellowship. Friends and family are invited to join us in honoring the memory of a remarkable man who brightened our lives with his presence.

In his honor, let us all endeavor to live our lives with the same kindness, generosity and love that Junior so effortlessly exhibited. Though he may be gone from our sight, his spirit will forever remain in our hearts. Rest in peace, dear Junior. You will be missed beyond measure.
