NIC MEN'S BASKETBALL: Cardinal men visit Skyway Elementary
The North Idaho College men’s basketball team visited Skyway Elementary for a skills showcase Tuesday, Nov. 11.
The team performed dunks and shooting drills at the elementary school and spoke to kids about maintaining an active lifestyle.
“It’s always great to spend time promoting sports in our community,” NIC men's basketball coach Corey Symons said. “We just want to help kids get up and maintain an active lifestyle.”
The team also gave the elementary schoolers a chance to participate in layup drills and shooting drills along with other competitions for free T-shirts.
NIC men’s and women’s basketball are scheduled to visit more area schools throughout the season.
NIC plays its first home games of the basketball season tonight, hosting Casper (Wyo.) tonight starting with the women's game at 5, followed by the men at 7.
