COEUR d’ALENE — After a standoff at an apartment complex, Coeur d’Alene police arrested a man early Thursday morning who had allegedly threatened another man with a knife.

Coeur d’Alene police responded around 12:40 a.m. Thursday to the River View Collection Apartments, after receiving a report about a threat.

The suspect, later identified as Ronald James M. Acre, 41, returned to his residence and refused contact with law enforcement, according to the Coeur d’Alene Police Department.

After SWAT officers arrived at the apartment complex, Acre came outside and was arrested without incident, according to police.

He was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and booked into the Kootenai County jail.
