Whitworth cross country

Peters, a senior from Post Falls High, will compete in the 2024 NCAA Division III Championship on Saturday at the LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course at the Wabash Family Sports Center in Terre Haute, Ind. Peters finished 15th in a time of 24 minutes, 39.7 seconds at last Saturday's West Regional meet at McIver State Park in Estacada, Ore.

Kylie Munday

San Diego volleyball

Munday, a 5-foot-10 freshman setter from Post Falls High, has a team-leading 829 assists and is second with 240 digs for the Toreros (16-8, 11-3 West Coast Conference), who host Gonzaga tonight at 7 (ESPN+). 

Anna Peters

Utah cross country

Peters, a sophomore from Post Falls High, will represent the Utes in the NCAA Championships for the second year in a row after earning an at-large berth to the meet after finishing fourth in the Mountain Regional last Friday. Peters, who was 13th at regionals last weekend in Reno, Nev., was named an All-American as a freshman.

UC Santa Barbara women's basketball

Burke, a 5-foot-8 junior from Coeur d'Alene High, had eight points and six rebounds for the Gauchos (2-2) in an 86-76 win over San Jose State on Sunday in Santa Barbara, Calif. Burke has started all four games this season, averaging 7.3 points and 6.8 rebounds per game.

Northern Arizona volleyball

Stoddard, a 6-1 redshirt sophomore outside hitter from Lake City High, is averaging 3.06 kills per set, which is sixth in the Big Sky Conference entering tonight's match against Eastern Washington in Flagstaff, Ariz.
