Resort Spa kicks off Holiday Giving Tree Campaign
COEUR d'ALENE — The Coeur d'Alene Resort Spa announced the launch of its first Holiday Giving Tree Campaign designed to bring holiday cheer to local families.
Residents and hotel guests can participate through Dec. 18 by selecting a tag from the Giving Tree and donating a gift for a member or family within the community.
"We believe that even the smallest act of kindness can make a world of difference, and we’re excited to see the generosity of our community shine through this initiative," said Cally King, manager at The Coeur d'Alene Resort Spa.
The Giving Tree benefits Safe Passage, a local nonprofit dedicated to helping survivors of domestic abuse, sexual assault, stalking, human trafficking and child abuse.
Each tag lists a specific gift or item needed by Safe Passage families. Community members can take as many tags as they’d like, shop for the items and return them unwrapped and with the tag attached.
"We wanted to create an accessible and meaningful way for both locals and visitors to come together and help bring joy to families who might otherwise go without during the holidays," King said.
Amand Krier, Safe Passage executive director, said they were grateful for the support.
"Every contribution brings us one step closer to providing the essential resources, safety and hope that survivors deserve," Krier said. "Together, we can break the cycle and build a future free from violence.”
Donors will receive a spa voucher with a surprise discount for use in January.
