Financial emergency on agenda for Lakeland School Board meeting tonight
RATHDRUM — The process for trustees to declare a financial emergency is up for discussion during a workshop and special meeting of the Lakeland School Board at 6 p.m. tonight in the Timberlake High School commons.
According to Idaho Code, a board of trustees is required to hold a public meeting to receive input concerning possible solutions to the district's financial crisis before declaring a financial emergency. The discussion is the final item on the meeting's agenda.
Building budgets for each school in the district will also be discussed during the meeting, as well as the district's longitudinal budget history.
As a special meeting/workshop, no public comment will be taken. For those who are unable to attend in person, comments can be sent to the district clerk at clerk@lakeland272.org. Individual trustee emails can be found at lakeland272org.
Timberlake High School is at 5973 W. State Highway 54, Spirit Lake.
