CHRISTENDOM: America at a Crossroads
Christians sometimes are grouped into Roman Catholicism, Protestantism and Orthodox Christianity. All of these major denominational groups played a big role in the Presidential Election.
Fearing that the U.S. was sliding into a third-world nation like Venezuela, some believers of different demographics — including Latinos, Asians, Jews, blacks, whites, workers and young adults — began to pray such famous Scriptures as 2 Chronicles 7:14. “If MY people who are called by MY name will humble themselves, and pray and seek MY face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
A wake-up call was sounded that a leftist and lawless leadership was not only demeaning, but did not care about the rights and welfare of U.S. Citizens.
Many churches that had been fearful of losing their 501c3 status in 2020, now wanted to be “Salt and Light!”
Christendom and conservatism can be compared to a mighty, centuries-old, drought tolerant, valley oak tree. This many branched tree, reaching over 100 feet in height, can shelter a variety of mammals, birds and insects. It provides food (acorns) for various ethnic groups.
However, a toxic parasite (mistletoe) does attempt to embed itself into the oak.
Ironically, it was not AP or Fox, where some voters heard that President Donald Trump had won, but a podcast called “Judgment Day” (Charlie Kirk)!
Reminds some old veterans of, “There’s a new world somewhere they call the promised land and I’ll be there someday if you could hold my hand.” (The Seekers, 1964).
And thanks “Texas Roadhouse” for encouraging veterans!
