It's craft fair season

A treasure trove of bazaars and craft fairs are being held throughout Kootenai County as the holidays draw near.

Here are some upcoming events for community members to enjoy:

Nov. 16 

Holiday Market | 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Elevate Academy North, 3716 E. Killdeer Ave., Post Falls. Featuring career-technical education students’ crafts in business, construction, automated manufacturing, welding, culinary and medical. Local vendors: Crafts, baked goods, jewelry, home decor, vintage clothing and more. Free.  

Holiday Arts and Craft Fair | 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Lake City Center, 1916 Lakewood Drive, Coeur d'Alene. About 20 local vendors. Hot dogs for purchase. Free. 

Holiday Bazaar | 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. John Brown Elementary, 15574 N. Washington St., Rathdrum. Start your holiday shopping at the 26th annual Holiday Bazaar. Over 20 vendors, bake sale and lunch options. Free pictures with Santa. Free. 

Annual Holdiay Craft Fair and Bake Sale | 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Meadowbrook Community Hall, 8088 W. Meadowbrook Loop, Coeur d'Alene. Local artisans, crafters, bakers and makers of home goods. Raffle baskets. Hot plate lunch: Chili, cornbread and a drink for $5. Sale proceeds will support preservation and maintenance of historic Meadowbrook Community Hall and Sam Rodis Memorial Park.  

Craft Show and Bazaar | 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Spirit Lake Elementary School, 32605 N. Fifth Ave., Spirit Lake. Small business and local vendors, freeze-dried candy, hat bar, home decor, canvas prints, gluten-free baked goods. Raffle baskets. Free. 

Nov. 22 

Annual Holiday Bazaar | 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, 13541 W. Highway 53, Rathdrum. Baked goods, handmade crafts, giant indoor yard sale. Breakfast and lunch available for purchase – coffee, pie. A whole room of free clothes for all ages. Free. 

Nov. 23 

Annual Holiday Bazaar | 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, 13541 W. Highway 53, Rathdrum. Baked goods, handmade crafts, giant indoor yard sale. Breakfast and lunch available for purchase — coffee, pie. A whole room of free clothes for all ages. Free. 

Annual Holiday Bazaar | 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Lutheran Church of the Master, 4800 N. Ramsey Road, Coeur d’Alene. Handmade crafts, quilts and goodies by the pound. Coffee and cider will be offered. Free. 

Rathdrum Craft and Farmers Market’s Santa Helpers for Seniors Craft Fair | 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Rathdrum Lions Club, 16114 N. Meyer Road. Unique items crafted by gifted artists and farm-fresh products grown locally. Free. 

Nov. 30 

Athol Christmas Market | 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Athol Community Center, 30355 Third St., Athol. Presented by Athol Farmers Market. Food, refreshments, music, festive raffle. More than 50 vendors. 

Holiday Craft Fair | 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Coeur d'Alene Public Library Community Room, 702 E. Front Ave., Coeur d'Alene. Dive into a treasure trove of handmade goodies and local art. Vendor fees benefit the Friends of the Library. 

Dec. 1  

Athol Christmas Market | 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Athol Community Center, 30355 Third St., Athol. Presented by Athol Farmers Market. Food, refreshments, music, festive raffle. More than 50 vendors. 

Dec. 6 

Winterfest Celebration and Plaza Market | 4-8 p.m. Post Falls City Hall Plaza, 408 N. Spokane St. Presented by Post Falls Parks and Recreation. Festivities include lighting the community tree, shopping, music, marshmallow treats, crafts and fresh-cut Christmas tree lot. Santa is expected to arrive at 6:15 p.m. Free.

Dec. 7


40th Annual Christmas Market | 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. North Idaho Christian School, 251 W Miles Ave., Hayden. Shop from over 50 local vendors. Music, famous chili potato bar and many raffles. Free. 


Snowflake Faire | 9 a. m. to 3 p.m., St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 501 E. Wallace Ave., Coeur d’Alene. Crafts, gifts, goodies, raffle baskets, vendors, Treasure Trove. Homemade chili, cornbread and pie. Free. 

Christmas Market | 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Rathdrum Community Center, 8037 W. Montana St., Rathdrum. Handmade products and more. Bring non-perishable, shelf-stable food items to donate to the Rathdrum Food Bank. Free.

Rathdrum Craft and Farmers Market’s Holiday Craft Fair | 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Rathdrum Lions Club, 16114 N. Meyer Road. Unique items crafted by gifted artists and farm-fresh products grown locally. 

Dec. 11

Christmas Market | 4-6 p.m. Mountain View Alternative High School, 7802 Main St., Rathdrum.
