FIRE DISTRICT: Thank you for approving levy

The Northern Lakes Fire District wishes to thank the voting public for their ongoing support by voting to approve our temporary override tax levy on Nov. 5. 23,793 people in our fire district voted in this general election. Of the 23,793 people in our fire district who voted in this general election, 17,531 or 73.68% of the voters approved this measure. The fire district’s Board of Commissioners, Fire District Administration, and all fire department personnel are extremely grateful for the voter’s support of the fire district. To the more than 6,000 voters who did not approve of this measure, we remain committed to improving their trust in our district and personnel.  

Moving forward, the mission of the Northern Lakes Fire District is to continue providing the highest level of service to our citizens and guests of the district and community. We have advertised this levy as one that will allow us to deliver on the promises made during this campaign to the public. Our goal is to: 

• Reduce response times,  

• Maintain an adequate workforce to respond to emergency and non-emergency calls for service, as well as  

• Increase our operational efficiency to  

• Obtain a better rating from the Idaho Surveying and Rating Bureau (ISRB).
