A multitude of events will be held across North Idaho leading up to and on Veterans Day in honor of the service and sacrifice of our military heroes.
TODAY
Wills for Warriors | 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. 8596 N. Wayne Drive, Hayden. Veterans can receive assistance drafting wills. Contact Nick Newby at nnewby@elagacylaw.com or 888-308-7526.
Veterans Recognition Ceremony | 11 a.m. Lakeland High School commons, 7006 W. Highway 53, Rathdrum. Doors open at 10 a.m. All veterans and families welcome. Free lunch at noon. Sponsored by American Legion Post 154, Northwest Guardian Riders and the city of Rathdrum.
Veterans Day Celebration | 2 to 4:30 p.m. Kroc Center, 1765 W. Golf Course Road, Coeur d'Alene. Free matinee showing of "White Christmas," which tells the story of Gen. Waverly finding his way outside the Army and being remembered by his troops. The Kroc Center has a special thank you to share to all community veterans. Free popcorn and drinks.

The Great Leaf Rake | Provided by Coeur d'Alene Seventh-day Adventists volunteers, 111 E. Locust Ave. For veterans who live in zip codes 83814 or 83815. Free service for those who served our country. Call 609-434-6071 to set up a time to have your leaves raked.
REMEMBRANCE — A Musical Tribute to Those Who Served | 3 p.m. First Presbyterian Church, 521 E. Lakeside Ave., Coeur d'Alene. Presented by the Music Conservatory of Coeur d'Alene. Free for veterans and children younger than 12. Admission for all others: $10. Visit cdaconservatory.org/events to reserve free seats or buy tickets.
Nov. 11, Veterans Day
Hayden Veterans Day Celebration | 11 a.m. McIntire Family Park, 8930 N. Government Way, Hayden. Singing and percussion performances. Refreshments will be provided by the Vine Church. Robert O. Martin will be recognized as the 2024 Distinguished Veteran of the Year and guest speaker for this year’s ceremony.
American Legion Post 14 Ceremony | 11 a.m. Veterans Memorial Park at McEuen Park in downtown Coeur d'Alene. Veteran Bob Smee will be the guest speaker. Free pastries and coffee.
VFW 1675 Veterans Day Ceremony | 11 a.m., Nov. 11, Silver Valley Veterans Memorial, Hill Street and Railroad Avenue, Kellogg. A chili feed with hot dogs and hamburgers will take place after the ceremony at 11:30 a.m. at the Osburn VFW, 318 E. Mullan Ave.
